I came across this in the book of Proverbs…..

Go ahead and make all the plans you want, but it’s The Lord who will ultimately direct your steps. We are all in love with our own opinions, convinced they’re correct, but The Lord is in the midst of us, testing and probing our every motive. Before you do anything put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. The Lord works everything together to accomplish His purpose. Proverbs 16 v 1-4 (Passion Translation)

This is so good for the start of a new year when we begin to make New Years resolutions, when we start to dream dreams and have hope for things to come. This reminds us not to solely trust in ourselves ( I love how it says we are in love with our own opinions!)  but to listen and to trust in His plan for us. He has great things, wonderful things, things we can not even fathom in store for us and even better, when they are His plans they will succeed.

So dream big with God. Listen, align your heart with Him, trust and then step out and watch your plans, dreams and hopes succeed.
