Change: the best is yet to come

what a wonderful thoughtit is that some of the bestdays of our lives

I was looking back through old photos and video footage the other day on my computer. I loved watching the videos of my children, it reminded me of the sweet and funny little things that they used to say and do. I could see how adorable they were and how much they have grown and developed over the last few years.

The past and all the sweet memories that it holds has gone and now we look to our future and isn’t it a wonderful thought that some of the best days of our lives haven’t happened yet.

God is calling us into a season of change because what He has for us is far better then anything we have done in our lives to date.

He is calling to us to renew our minds, to change our hearts, to step out in courage and to leave fear behind because we were born for greatness. He is going to do great things with us and through us. Greater things then anybody has done before us.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You nay ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it”.  John 14: 12-14

Remember that as you begin on your journey of making changes in your life to look upon your past with fondness and look to your future with hope, for the best is yet to come.

If your past is not full of fond memories do not fear because the mistakes and hurts of your past does not disqualifies you for a great future. God can take what has happened and He can restore it. God promises us restoration, just like He promised the Israelites…

“The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten– the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed”. Joel 2: 24-27

We can hold onto this promise of restoration as well. God will restore us, if we let Him. As we draw close to Him, as we take the time to sit at His feet and give Him everything we feel, think, and hold, He will will begin to restore us. He will take all the baggage from us and give us strength, courage, hope, wisdom and His unconditional love.

God longs to see us restored and He longs to see us do greater things than have been done before because He is a good Father and all good Fathers love to see there their children grow and succeed in life.

So I want to encourage you because the best is yet to come. Embrace the change that God is calling you to and watch and see as He leads you on to greater things.
