Welcome to part two of my homeschool 101 series! Todays topic is all about how to navigate the Australian Curriculum.
Before I started homeschooling my children I was a Primary School Teacher and so I have some experience with working with the Australian Curriculum.
The Australian Curriculum is available online for you to have a look at. You can find the Australian National Curriculum here and on this page it also includes links to the different states and territories education department websites where you can find the curriculum that you will need to follow depending on where you live in Australia.
When you first look at the curriculum it can feel quite overwhelming. Most of the time I tell people to not look at it as it will totally confuse them and instead I point them to another awesome document that it much easier to use and understand.
Whispering Waters on Teachers Pay Teachers has taken the Australian Curriculum and put it into user friendly language. The Curriculum has become so much easier to understand and use. She has an Education Goals learning bundle for sale on her Teachers Pay Teachers account and I highly recommend using this document in your homeschool planning. You can check it out here.
In my video you can have a look inside the Education Goals learning bundle and hear how I use it when I am planning for my homeschool curriculum.
