God is always speaking and spiritual warriors are always listening. Warriors sit at the feet of God. They spend time in His presence and listen for His voice.
Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
In these quiet moments with the Lord, warriors can discover what God wants them to do, how He wants them to respond, what they need to believe or what they need to pray for in the difficult things they are dealing with.
Spiritual warriors pray with God and not towards Him. They pray with the answer in mind and not to try and find one. They go into the presence of the Lord so that they can come out fully equipped to deal with whatever the enemy is trying to throw at them.
Warriors always focus on God and not on the difficult thing that they are faced with. They never let the enemy get bigger or louder than the voice of the Lord. The warrior will step back from the situation, draw close to God and listen for His voice, they will worship, rejoice and give thanks to the Lord.
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
By doing this, warriors shift their attention from the problem and they focus on the solution. Remember that the enemy is working to change the atmosphere around us to one that is negative and sinister. When the warrior focuses on God and His goodness the enemy can not have his way.
