A spiritual warrior is fearless. They are fearless because of perfect love.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

A warrior knows and understands the Fathers unconditional love for them. They know their identity, they know that the they are a son or daughter of the King, fully loved, fully accepted and fully redeemed. They have a deep and personal relationship with God where they hear that they are loved and they feel that they are loved.

It is their intimacy with the Lord that makes a warrior so intimidating to the enemy. Their confidence in the Fathers love, their knowledge of their identity, and the power of the Holy Spirit all come together and make them feel so loved that they lose all fear.

The warrior knows that they are loved and accepted and therefore they are not afraid to make mistakes, they are not afraid to lose. They know that God is for them and will never abandon them, if things do not go to plan they do not abandon their faith. They know that God is a good God and that He works all things together for good for those who love Him. So they wait on the promises of the Lord to come through, they are patient and faithful.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

To become fearless we need to remember that Gods perfect love casts out all fear. We need to be so focused on, surrounded by and consumed with the Father receiving His perfect love, that we become fearless. Nothing can get to us because we know this perfect love. This love strengthens us, it gives us perfect peace, it is our inheritance, it can not be taken away from us, it encourages us and it enables us to do all things.

I really love the song called This love by Housefires. Its words are powerful and true. Every morning when I wake to face the day I am surrounded by the Lords perfect love. It is every moment of every day that the Lord is there with His perfect love. We just need to have open eyes, ears and hearts to see it. His love carries us, strengthens us and encourages us through every moment, everyday.

Every time I listen to this song I can feel the Lords love pouring out into me, it makes me stop and feel His presence fall. It encourages me, strengthens me, inspires me, reminds me and fills me with the joy of the Lord.
